Fuel your rockets because the 610: A SPACE ODYSSEY Mardi Gras Ball is coming into orbit on January 29 at The Fillmore New Orleans!
One word New Orleans does not have to fear this Carnival Season is the word “canceled” paired with “Mardi Gras.” The party is ON in 2022 and an out-of-this-world celebration is kicking off with a crowd favorite, the 610 Stompers.
THE THEME
As we all know, these ordinary men with extraordinary moves are all about THE DANCE. That’s why they have come up with all new moves for 2022 and will reveal them at their biggest event of the year. Beaming with red satin jackets and striped tube socks, the men of 610 will deliver on choreography.

Dust off your holographic fabrics, or visit one of New Orleans’ Top Costume Shops, and get ready to space jam. The weather is cold, but don’t let that stop you from going all out: outer space costumes are all about the material, so more material = more opportunities.
The 610 Stompers are challenging party-goers to get creative because there will *definitely* be a costume contest at this space-themed ball!
THE ENTERTAINMENT
What would a Mardi Gras Ball centered around dance be without an appearance from one of the biggest DJs from New Orleans? DJ Mannie Fresh will be gracing the Space Odyssey stage, so back that azz up because it’s about to be 400 Degreez.
The ultimate live music and entertainment experience, New Orleans KARMA, will also be performing. Their unique mashup arrangements paired with energetic performances will be exactly what you’ll need between bumping and grinding with other fellow earthlings.
The last addition is New Orleans alternative rock band Paris Avenue, bringing all the pop-punk vibes to the party for the most well-rounded night of music during Carnival.
