Around the World in 80 Raves with Flux Pavillion

Entering the scene in 2008 was wide-eyed and eager to learn Flux Pavillion, aka Joshua Steele…. little did he know his songs would be some of the most played in electronic music today.

His tracks are constantly on repeat; hits including “I Can’t Stop” (with over 50 million listens on Spotify), “Gold Dust (Remix)”, and his most recent collaboration with up and coming artist Whethan, “Savage (ft. Max)”. Being able to witness the progression that Flux has experienced since day one, from playing to empty rooms opening for Funtcase to playing sold-out tour shows, is impressive.

Many artists struggle to stay true to their roots and their passions, yet Flux Pavillion never seemed to  stray from the path. In an interview with Run the Trap, he explains that he would “sooner see his career be over than find himself in a place where he’s just doing stuff to keep his career going.”

His latest release titled “Pull the Trigger” (feat. Cammie Robinson) highlights a more melodic side to Flux, while oozing summer vibes and stunning vocals. The music video brings a whole other unique aspect of art to his music, with crazy visual works.

The UK artist has been bringing his talent to the United States for the past month and will continue through the end of June with his tour: “Around the World in 80 Raves.” Along the way, Flux has been accompanied by rotating artists such as Kayzo, Spag Heddy, Trollphace, Jaykode, and more.

This tour could be the conclusion of an epic era of electronic music with Flux Pavilion as the pioneer… or it could just be the regeneration of said era. With the slow release of new music, a new album could definitely be in the works. Only time will tell.
