Best New Orleans Pools to Cool Off & Chill Out this Summer

It’s getting hot guys, really hot. This midwestern bug wasn’t quite prepared for the heat of the swamp once I got down here. And why does it stay so hot so late into the night?? If you can manage to work around the imminent afternoon rainstorms, relaxing at the pool can be the perfect cure to your incoming summer swamp blues.

These are our favorite New Orleans pools for summertime swimming:

 

The Chloe Hotel

From 11am to sunset, visit the pool at The Chloe. All seating spaces, lounge chairs and tables, are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Access is available to non-room guests for $25 / person during the summer season. Pool access is limited to guests aged 21+.

The Country Club

Beat the Louisiana heat and mix and mingle in one of New Orleans best-kept secrets in the Bywater/Marigny at The Country Club. Their Back Private Club’s lush landscape is the perfect oasis for locals and tourists to come together for food, drink and fun. They offer both day passes and memberships for those looking to visit year-round. They are open 7 days a week from 10am – 11pm. Happy hour is served from 4-7pm, Monday – Friday.

The poolside cabana and bar has been a local favorite for over 40 years. Daily passes are $20 or $499 for an annual pass.

The Drifter Hotel

Small but mighty, The Drifter Hotel in Midcity has remained a favorite. With a lineup of events Drifter Hotel pool new orleansincluding local DJs, plenty of seating, and a solid cocktail menu, The Drifter is a good and more affordable pick.

The Drifter’s poolside bar sits in the courtyard of the quaint hotel digs. Daily entry ranges from $10 – $20 for 2-hour increments, with event tickets going for a bit more. Frequent swimmers can purchase a Swim Club membership that provides year round access for yourself plus one guest to the private Swimming Pool (heated in the cooler months), Pool Bar, and Private Courtyard Space.

Virgin Hotels New Orleans – The Pool Club

Virgin Hotels New Orleans’ The Pool Club is the newest on the block. Hotel guests can enjoy pool access and complimentary access to poolside loungers available on a first-come, first-serve basis daily. Non-hotel guests are invited to visit the 13th floor for pool access with the purchase of a Day Pass, a limited amount is available daily.

W New Orleans

Through ResortPass, non-hotel guests can experience a lively daycation in the heart and soul of the city at the W New Orleans – French Quarter, a vibrant oasis in the center of it all. Soak up the sun in a chaise lounge at the WET deck and outdoor courtyard pool while sipping hand-crafted cocktails. The W Hotel pool is an outdoor heated pool with food and drink available to purchase with poolside delivery. 

A Deck Day Pass is $45 per person with pool access from 6 am – 11 pm.

Spyre New Orleans
