City Park Kicks Off ‘Brews and Boos’ Outdoor Movie Series With Jordan Peele’s ‘Us’ This Friday

Looking to do something new this weekend? Well if you like horror films and beer, you’re in luck  City Park begins its Brews and Boos horror movie series this Friday, Aug. 21. The first screening of the series will feature Jordan Peele’s ‘Us,’ and beer is included with your admission.

Brew and Boos will take place in the field next to the Popp Fountain, and those attending will be asked to maintain social distancing while watching the film.

The admission for Brews and Boos is $35 and includes the following beer selections: Michelob Ultra, Urban South Brewery’s Paradise Park, Modelo Especial and Bud Light. Guests can also choose from Tito’s vodka Jell-O shots, salted peanuts and a raffle ticket to win beer-themed prizes. If you are looking to jump on this deal, you may want to hurry. Each screening has a capacity of only 50 people. 

The Brews and Boos series continues with “A Quiet Place” on Aug. 28, “Shaun of the Dead” on Sept. 4 and “It Follows” on Sept. 11. You can grab your tickets via this link here!  Those planning to attend can bring their own blankets and chairs. Gates open at 7:30 p.m. and screenings start at 8 p.m.
