New Orleans’ Longest Running Comedy Festival Returns This Week

If you’re a fan of comedy, then you’re in luck. NOLA’s longest-running comedy festival returns this week to The New Movement Theater in the Bywater. Hell Yes Fest is celebrating nine years of laughs starting this Wednesday, November 13 and running through the 17.

The festival is the longest-running comedy event in the city. In 2017 we covered the event heavily as it featured some of the countries largest stand-up comedians. This year, Hell Yes Fest continues that tradition by welcoming in tons of new talent.

Hell Yes Fest features improv, sketch, and standup comedy, and is held exclusively at NOLA’s only full-time comedy venue, The New Movement theater. The festival saw over 300 applicants apply to participate this year.

If you are looking to try something new, or just a good mid-week laugh, then Hell yes Fest is calling your name. The first shows kick off this Wednesday at 8, Thursday at 8 and 9:30, Friday and Saturday at 7:30, 9, 10:30, Sunday 7:00 and 8:30p. You can find the full schedule and purchase tickets here!

The New Movement Theater is located at 2607 St Claude Street in the Bywater. The venue space is the perfect intimate setting for some great shows. Purchase tickets ahead of time to secure your spot to any upcoming Hell Yes Fest event!
