March 13, 2020, was supposed to be a joyous day for dance fans in NOLA. The California duo Hippie Sabotage was headed back to the Big Easy to headline their biggest show to date in the city.

Flash forward to the week of the show, and the entire world suddenly changed. The NBA canceled their season on March 12, 2020, and most live events followed directly after it, including the Hippie Sabotage show at The Filmore NOLA on March 13. For fans of the duo, it was a gut punch to an event that was so close yet so far away. But honestly, it was the right choice due to what was happening with the newly discovered COVID virus.

Dance Music Meets Psych-Rock

Rooted in electronic music, the hip hop & psych-rock Hippie Sabotage look to continue to capitalize on their great career by bringing their Rooms of Hallucination Tour
to New Orleans this Saturday. The tour accompanies the brand new album Floating Palace the group’s sixth studio album, a feat typically unheard of in the EDM world.

Hippie Sabotage is no stranger to New Orleans, and NOLA is no stranger to a sold-out Hippie Sabotage show. After selling out Republic NOLA a few years ago, the group also headlined Voodoo Fest, The Varsity Theater in Baton Rouge, The Joy Theater in NOLA, and their canceled Filmore show from last year. The Orpheum appearance shows the group’s staying power in NOLA is real. If you plan to head to the parades Saturday, this show is the perfect afterparty for a day filled with joy and fun.
