Relive Last Night’s Eccentric Krewe Du Vieux With These 15 Photos

Krewe Du Vieux is without-a-doubt, the raunchiest parade of the carnival season. The Krewe prides itself on individual expression and political satire – taking hot political topics and current events and giving them a racy spin.

Last night was KdV’s 2020 Erection parade. The 17 sub-krewes took to the streets of the French Quarter in dazzling apparel and jaw-dropping parade floats. From the Hard Rock Hotel collapse to NOLA’s increasingly high rent prices, no subject was safe from the Krewe’s ironic wrath.

Check out some of our favorite photos from Krewe Du Vieux’s Erection 2020 parade on February 8, 2020

Krewe Du Vieux founded in 1987 is one of the most traditional (and yet outlandish) of all the parades in New Orleans during Mardi Gras season. It is the last parade to use mules to draw the large floats but also has a great collection of brass bands and costumed walkers as well. It is known for its bawdy, or some may say down right raunchy, displays that cover topics ranging from national political satire to local tongue in cheek type jokes. This is a must see parade for us every year. Truth me told, even though I work with mules professionally, the Mid City Carriage mules that draw these floats are still my favorite part of the parade. #⚜️ #parade #mardigras #2020 #lotsofpics #neworleans #nola #mycity #mules #thisishowwedo #carnival #pokingfun #itsallforfun #justjokes #somanypenises #tourguide #takeatour #somuchtoknow
