Krewe of Boo Returns to New Orleans Through the Vieux Carré

Though it sure doesn’t feel like it, it’s October in New Orleans! One of the best times to be in the Big Easy, besides Mardi Gras of course. And with Halloween and October comes all the fall festivities, including Krewe of Boo, the official Halloween parade.

On Saturday, October 19, the parade will kick off on Elysian Fields and make its way through the Downtown area before ending at the corner of Tchopitoulas and Andrew Higgins Boulevard. The parade is known for their collectable and/or consumable throws, which helps to cut back on waste.

The Krewe of Boo, presented by Haunted History Tours, became the official Halloween parade back in 2007. It’s drawn talented artists with its beautifully horrific props and 3-D figures. Created by Kern Studios, the artists there have full creative expertise over all float building activities.

Get excited for Krewe of Boo 2019!
