And the Jazz Fest parties just keep on rolling in! On May 1 during Weekend 2 of Jazz Fest, an all-star team of NOLA musicians are joining together to honor two NOLA greats who we lost last year: Art Neville and Dr. John. The tribute performance will take place at One Eyed Jacks.
On the roster for the performance is George Porter Jr., guitarist Ian Neville (Dumpstaphunk), and his nephew Ivan Neville (also in Dumpstaphunk). Jon Cleary, pianist, is also joining the group; he had a close friendship with Dr. John after touring across the country with him. Tony Hall, Nikki Glaspie, Big Sam, and Skerik are also joining in the mix.
