Louis the Child Returns to New Orleans, LA

Louis the Child, one of electronic’s youngest up-and-coming duos, will be making their return to New Orleans this Friday, November 4 at Republic Nola. If you’re like me and missed out on their set on the VIP Boat of the BUKU Music + Art Project last year then here’s your chance to redeem yourself.
The Chicago based teenagers, Freddy Kennett and Robby Haudren met in high school at a Madeon show through mutual friends. At the time, they both were messing around with solo music projects and after time decided to collab together which later formulated into their big break as Louis the Child at Spring Awakening Music Festival 2014. Since then they have taken over the music industry playing festivals all over such as Coachella, Lollapalooza, Governor’s Ball, and many more. The two even managed to appear as support on tour with Madeon, The Chainsmokers, Kaskade and have since followed on to their own headlining tours.
The future bass duo started gaining attention with their single “It’s Strange” featuring K. Flay and had Taylor Swift praising the infectious upbeat track to her instagram followers. More singles such as, “Fire” and “Weekend,” have been arising and are just proving that these kids aren’t going anywhere anytime soon. They’ve been continuing to steal the hearts of electronic fans with their futuristic pop melodies that inevitably create a state of pure happiness for listeners everywhere. Aside from their originals, they have a great amount of remixes that they’ve remastered so beautifully that you sometimes forget it was ever a separate song once before. By blending electronic bass, pop, and hip-hop they’ve created a distinct feel-good vibe that represents the sound of Louis the Child that just can’t be ignored.
Their latest mix for Diplo & Friends that was released last month truly exemplifies everything there is to love about Louis the Child. Check it out below for a sneak peek at what this Friday will entail at Republic Nola. Quinn XCII from Detroit, MI and Polish artist Pham will be joining Louis the Child for their tour stop in New Orleans.
