Your New Orleans Dance Music Roundup: bàwldy, Klutch, & More

May 24 | At River Beats New Orleans, we love to celebrate our local artists. Starting today, we’re implementing a roundup of everything dance in the Dirty South. We’ll bring you the best new releases, events, and news from our favorite Deep South artists and venues.

This week, we have five new releases: bàwldy, Boo Munch ChompyDubba D., Klutch, and setsun.

Hailing from deep down the bayou, bàwldy teamed up with wobble master SubDocta to bring us a fat, mesmerizing new track, “Jafar’s Revenge.”

Boo Munch, longtime Baton Rouge DJ and producer, collaborated with another loved Red Stick dubstep producer, Chompy, to bring us “Sun.” The belligerent growls in the drop are mitigated by Rita Queen‘s intoxicating vocals, expertly arranged by the two local producers.

Lafayette favorite Dubba D. delivered an in-your-face, no holds barred dubstep anthem, “SLAM,” that plays on a classic tune everyone already knows and loves.
