October 25, 2019 | It seems like a tropical depression is dropping down on NOLA today, but that doesn’t mean you have to stay indoors. Its Halloween weekend in New Orleans and that means there are TONS of events happening not only tonight but this entire weekend. 

But just in case you were still wondering what the best move is for tonight, we have 7 events below you NEED to check out. 

1.) The Drifter Hotel is helping you get prepared for your busy weekend

“The talented Butterfly FX Artists will be available all morning and afternoon on both Friday and Saturday in the Drifter Lobby for creative costuming which includes Special FX, Make-up, Body Paint, Glitter & Body Jewels.”

2.) The Voodoo Music + Arts Experience 

The 21st edition of Voodoo Fest is back, starting today! Bring your ponchos and rain boots and get ready to dance the night away in the rain. You can get single-day passes to the festival here

3.) The Music Box presents “The Capitalist Blues” 

“The Music Box Village village neighbors and contributors Leyla McCalla and Jimmy Horn (King James and the Special Men) create a compelling new look at life inside the complexities of modern society in a not-so-modern city, in The Capitalist Blues. Airlift is excited to bring this work to life in the Music Box Village, an even smaller microcosm of the town they share, with the help of their bandmates and friends.”

4.) Voodoo After Party: Hobo Johnson & The Lovemakers

The Fall Tour of Hobo Johnson has been through some festival stops already, including Bonnaroo. The show starts around 10 PM and is the second of the night for Lopes and the gang, who play an evening set on Friday, at the South Course stage of Voodoo. This isn’t an act you want to miss.

5.) Krewe Du Kanaval: Ti Pati ft. “special guests”

This Friday’s Ti Pati party features Bambii, DJ Windows 98 (Win Butler of Arcade Fire), DJ Chinua, and special secret headliners that will, no doubt, blow your socks off. Doors open at 10 pm at the Joy Theater and are expected to last through 3 am. Capacity is limited and priority is given to those who RSVP’d and donated.

6.) Voodoo after-party: Peekaboo at Republic NOLA 

For all those dance music lovers this after show is not one to miss. Peekaboo brings his weird bass sounds to Republic NOLA for a late-night rager.

7.) Brews and Boos 

BREWS AND BOOS is a chance for a bit of adult Halloween fun with unlimited rides, Jello shots, costume contests, beer bars, snacks and tricks, and treats.

8.) The Oh Sees Annual Ball 

Their gritty and psychedelic blend of punk rock translates to hyper and high energy performances. It’s not uncommon for fans to be dangling from the ceiling beams when the band gets going.
