Port of Call Announces They Are ‘Closing Until Further Notice’ One Day After Re-Opening Doors

COVID once again has proven to difficult to navigate through, as one of NOLA’s popular restaurants is forced to close its doors.

Only one day after re-opening Port of Call New Orleans has announced they are forced to close until further notice. The announcement came less than 24 hours after Mayor Cantrell surprisingly announced all NOLA restaurants and bars must stop selling to-go drinks due to COVID.

Port of Call did not return with dine-in service this Friday but was heavily relying on to-go food and drinks. In a recent statement to NOLA.COM Port of Call owner Mike Mollere declared “the answer, for now, is to return with takeout only, from a somewhat abbreviated version of the already-short menu.”

With phase 1 like restrictions back in place in NOLA, it seems likely that more and more restaurants will be faced to close for the summer.
