River Beats New Orleans Celebrates 1 Year! Our Top Articles & Moments

*Clink Clink* This is a moment for celebration! It is the first anniversary since the creation of the River Beats New Orleans local chapter!

River Beats has made its name and reputation while organically growing the national brand over the last (almost) 3 years. We launched the blog in August 2016 and while we were happy to continue as a national brand, we also wanted to give back. For us, this was providing quality media to our local scenes that are often ignored.

Here in New Orleans – where a new party or place to grab drinks is popping up around every corner – someone needs to talk about it! We wanted to give our readers a one-stop-shop for all the events going on in the city, not just the major arena tours.

We felt there just wasn’t enough spotlight on the underground, the newcomers, and the fabulous free festivals and events constantly happening in NOLA. With this inspiration, we introduced our event guide, This Week In New Orleans, where you can find our growing list of events.

This year, we’ve reached many milestones we are proud of with River Beats New Orleans. We’ve had the chance to cover major events, share inspiring editorials, and give coverage to the new waves making New Orleans a more colorful place.

Here are some of our top articles and moments from May 2018 – May 2019. Cheers to One year of River Beats New Orleans!
