You Can Stream Tipitina’s Shorty Fest for Free Tomorrow, Find Out How

Limited tickets for Shorty Fest 2021 Presented by Acura are still on sale now at www.tipitinas.com.

Shorty fest 2021 is on for October 11th at Tipitina’s. As more and more fall events get canceled, the Trombone Shorty Foundation will prioritize patron safety with reduced indoor capacity and live virtual streaming.

For those uncertain or unable to attend the live event, Shorty Fest will also be available to live stream for free at www.tromboneshortyfoundation.org. Powered by ELS Studios 3D, the Livestream allows audiences across the globe to safely watch the live event, donate, bid on online auction items, and be part of the New Orleans music community.

The return of Shorty Fest is a welcome change of pace from all the canceled fall events in New Orleans. Produced in collaboration with Galactic’s newly launched Tip-It Foundation, Shorty Fest 2021 will prioritize patron safety, offering a limited number of tickets to attend the event and following all current COVID protocols and guidelines, including proof of vaccine or negative COVID test (within 72 hours of the event) with ID for entry and requiring masks indoors.

“We look forward to providing a safe space for our friends, family and supporters to come together and celebrate music, a part of our community that has truly been missed during these hard times.”

    • Troy ‘Trombone Shorty’ Andrews.

Headlined by Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue (who will take the stage at Tipitina’s for the first time since 2015), this year’s musical lineup features performances by Galactic with Anjelika “Jelly” Joseph, The Soul Rebels, Cuban sensation Cimafunk and special guests Tarriona “Tank” Ball and Big Chief Juan Pardo.

Spearheaded by both the Trombone Shorty Foundation and the  Tip-It Foundation, Robert Mercurio, Galactic’s bassist and co-owner of Tipitina’s says the show will be “one for the books!”

Galactic and Tipitina’s created the Tip-It Foundation in 2019 to support and promote the future of the Gulf South’s music, culture, and heritage via the Tipitina’s venue and brand. The mission of the Tip-It Foundation is to elevate musical and cultural legacies through community outreach and education.
