Catch the Best NOLA Icons at the Steven Forster Photography Showcase

Steven Forster Gallery

This is the last week to catch the Steven Forster photography showcase at the jazz heritage gallery. The nationally renown photographer and New Orleans native is showcasing four decades of NOLA-based iconography through photographs, but only until Friday.

Art and entertainment enthusiasts can take a peek behind Steven Forster’s 40+ years behind the camera at this showcase. He specializes in portraits of musicians and local celebrities and icons. It demonstrates the artist’s deep cultural connection with this Big Easy, and gives viewers a chance to celebrate our booming entertainment industry.

Born and raised in the Lower Ninth Ward, Forster went on to work for the Times-Picayune for nearly 20 years. He has achieved international success with exhibitions from New York City to Spain. But New Orleans will always be his home.

“The city of New Orleans has a gravitational pull on creatives and has fed my creativity the way that it feeds others crawfish & gumbo.”
