The Upbeat Academy Foundation will be hosting its first fundraiser of 2017 on February 3rd at Gasa Gasa in New Orleans. The “FundRAGER” will feature performances by AF the Naysayer, Otto, and DJ Nice Rack.
The Upbeat Academy Foundation was founded in 2013 as a way to provide at-risk and underprivileged kids with a way to learn how to produce and perform the music they listened to. The program focuses on electronic dance music and hip-hop genres and provides top of the line equipment for its students to learn on. Over the years, it has become more than a way to teach kids how to create music, it’s also serving as a method of increasing the self-esteem of the students as well as inspiring them to become positive influences in their own communities.
The FundRAGER will feature prizes, silent auctions and complimentary cocktails courtesy of NOLA Distilling Company. All proceeds will go towards the Upbeat Academy Foundation. Tickets are $30 and can be purchasing in advance here.
