Wanderfest, the first outdoor travel festival for women, just opened ticket sales for their upcoming event during the spring of 2022.
The Outlet Collection at Riverwalk is proud to announce the first scheduled festival at Spanish Plaza in post-vaccine New Orleans!
New Orleans has always been a passing home to travelers from all over the world. And from March 12-13 2022 – hundreds of travel lovers from around the world will join together in NOLA to take part in a celebration of all things travel.
From influential speakers to live musical performances, from a marketplace of women-owned travel businesses to excursions around town, Wanderfest aims to connect and inspire women around the world.
It’s been a while since travel or festivals have been on the brain, but the team behind Wanderfest is excited to bring like-minded women from across the country in the spring of next year.
“Women are traveling the world more than ever before,” said Beth Santos, CEO, and Founder of Wanderful, organizer of Wanderfest. “With Wanderfest, we’re creating a place where women can get motivated for their next journey, pick up valuable tips and tricks to use, and meet hundreds of other women just like them.”
Taking place at the Spanish Plaza at the Riverwalk, Wanderfest will feature a main stage with talks from top women travelers including Patricia Schultz, the author of the #1 New York Times bestseller 1,000 Places to See Before You Die and 1,000 Places to See in the United States and Canada Before You Die. A veteran travel journalist with 30 years of experience, she has written for guides such as Frommer’s and Berlitz and periodicals including The Wall Street Journal and Travel Weekly, where she is a contributing editor.
Among other speakers, Wanderfest will also highlight performances from emerging musical artists around the globe. The vendor marketplace will also showcase women-owned travel companies, products, and services that travelers can use for their next trip.
Finally, Wanderfest will host the first-ever Wander Woman Parade with a New Orleans-style Second Line down the French Quarter to celebrate women and raise funds for a local charity. They’re even offering a discount of 20% ticket prices for purchases before March 31, 2021.
“There is no other festival out there yet like Wanderfest. It will be a jam-packed, inspirational weekend for festival-goers that also supports talented women leaders, performers, and entrepreneurs both locally and from around the world.”
