it’s been the talk of the town for about two weeks now, and our boys from River Ridge, Louisiana just did what no other team from Louisiana has ever done: win the Little League United States World Series championship!

The Eastbank based team defeated Hawaii in an epic rematch that featured stellar pitching, clutch hitting, and some amazing defense. Eastbank jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the 5th inning and Marshall Louque added to that lead with a 2 RBI double, to make the score 3-0.

Louisiana would go on to add 6 more runs to win 9-5. Reece Roussel, who has had a remarkable tournament went 2-3 and set a Little League tournament record for hits.

The Lousiana team will now turn around and play the International champion Curacao who defeated Japan 5-4. The two will face off in the final stage of the Little League World Series to see who wins Little League Title Game.
Congrats to Louisiana on their epic journey, and we will them the best of luck tomorrow for when they face off against the Caribbean nation of Curacao.
