Borgore, GG Magree, Whethan, & Chet Porter Set To Take Over Baton Rouge This Weekend

This weekend at the Varsity Theatre is every electronic music lover’s dream. Baton Rouge is getting lucky with five awesome artists in very different genres of dance music. Kicking things off on Friday is booty-shaking Borgore + GG Magree, and closing out the weekend is the vibey Whethan, Chet Porter, and Win & Woo.

Where will you be at this weekend?

Friday, September 14 – Borgore and GG Magree

If you’ve never seen Borgore, prepare for a lot of booties and dancing! His stop at Baton Rouge is one of the first few shows on his “University Tour,” this is a brand new show he’s debuting! Joining him for an epic night is the lovely GG Magree and Benda.

Borgore is a staple in dubstep music and is one of the few artists who has worked with pretty much everyone in the scene. From Miley Cyrus to Jauz, he’s built relationships with everyone. One little fact you might not know about him: he also released a jazz album. “I studied jazz for most of my life, that was the music that I grew up with,” he said in an interview with EDM Identity.

If you want to end your week dancing your ass off, then this is the show for you. Don’t believe me? Watch the video below to get a taste of what to expect. Purchase tickets for Borgore here.

Sunday, September 16 – Whethan, Chet Porter, Win & Woo

Whethan makes his Baton Rouge debut this weekend on his “Life of a Wallflower” tour. You might remember Whethan’s name from this year’s Coachella, where he brought out the “Walmart yodeling kid.”

Whethan is easily the breakout artist of 2018 and at only 18 years old, that’s a massive feat! He’s played on massive stages, including Coachella, Lollapalooza, and more. He’s also played alongside Louis the Child but this time, he’s doing his own thing.

His shows are the perfect mixture of vibey and fun, and he’s constantly improving on his live show skills. Purchase tickets for Whethan here.

Join us this weekend for an awesome jam-packed two days of shows!
