After wrapping up a successful Celebration in the Oaks for their Holiday festivities, City Park has announced a continuation of sorts, with a Mardi Gras Twist!

They will be hosting Floats in the Oaks, a drive-through float-viewing fundraiser similar to Celebration. While driving through, you will be able to see iconic floats from various Mardi Gras Krewes – all at City Park! Krewes involved include Bacchus, Rex, Hermes, Femme Fatale, Zulu, Bayblon, Morpheus, Druids, Carrollton, and others. More are joining the ‘Floats in the Oaks’ krewe daily!

The event will be both day and night, officially kicking off on Thursday, February 4 and running only through Saturday, February 14. On weekdays, Floats in the Oaks will be open from 5-10pm, and 1-10pm on weekends. For those visiting during the day (1-5pm), tickets are only $10, and $20 for those visiting at night (5-10pm). In addition to the driving tour experience, visitors can add-on Park Parade Packs or the Grandstand Experience. Click here for that information.

“We are thrilled to hear so many people are interested in such a fundraiser to support City Park. It made us even more excited to eventually announce this event knowing the public supported it. City Park is looking forward to bringing a little bit of Mardi Gras to the people of the area, all while doing so safely. City Park will use the funds raised to maintain and operate the 1,300 acres, so everyone in our community can continue to enjoy the Park.”
