Collie Buddz, along with LA-based roots reggae band Arise Roots, are headlining the House of Blues in New Orleans on Friday, March 9. Both acts are well-known for their high-energy performances and general “good vibes.” Reggae and riddim fans won’t want to miss this special showcase.
Both Collie Buddz and Arise Roots are known for their unique blend of roots reggae and modern sounds. Buddz, a NOLA-born but Bermuda-raised artist, crafted late-noughties hits like “Come Around” and “Blind To You.” He has gained a loyal following for his combination of traditional reggae with modern dancehall and hip-hop influences.
Arise Roots, on the other hand, is a California-based band that has been making waves in the reggae scene for several years. The band has released three full-length albums and has been praised for its ability to fuse roots reggae with rock, dub, and ska elements.
