Fiery Crab Celebrates the season of giving by donating meals to IRIS Domestic Violence Center.
The holidays are feeling warmer at Fiery Crab! The Cajun seafood restaurant has launched its inaugural “Share a Meal” initiative in support of domestic violence survivors at IRIS Domestic Violence Center in Baton Rouge.
Through December 23, dine-in guests at any of Fiery Crab’s 13 South Louisiana locations can opt-in to buy a meal for donation, with Fiery Crab pledging to match each meal purchased.
“The mission of IRIS is near and dear to the hearts of many of our leadership and we hope our guests will be moved to join us in supporting them,” says Victoria Crigan, VP of Operations at Fiery Crab. “IRIS empowers and seeks justice for hundreds of survivors every year and we are honored to aid in that.”
For nearly 40 years, Iris Domestic Violence Center (formerly operating as Capital Area Family Violence Intervention Center and The Battered Women’s Program) has provided support to survivors of domestic violence in the Greater Baton Rouge area and surrounding parishes. IRIS is dedicated to the empowerment of women, men, and children who have suffered domestic abuse, and is committed to the elimination of both personal and societal violence in the community.
About Fiery Crab
The concept of Fiery Crab, a Lafayette-born Cajun restaurant, is to serve the freshest seafood Louisiana has to offer, and combine it with bold Cajun flavors. Seafood is boiled in the traditional Cajun style, with a new exciting flare – each bag of seafood is served piping hot, cooked in the Fiery Crab Signature Sauces of guests’ choosing. Since the opening of the first Fiery Crab, it has grown to include 13 locations across South Louisiana.
Fiery Crab specializes in low country boil using old family recipes. Serving the freshest seafood selections possible, it is first boiled in the traditional Cajun style before being smothered in one of their signature Cajun Butter Sauces and served in a heat-proof bag to lock-in the heat and flavor. The signature sauces are combined with the finest selection and blend of 13 Louisiana-sourced spices.
