NOLA Brewing Brings Back Its King Cake, Craft Beer & Pizza Pairing Experience

NOLA Brewing & Pizza Co. announces the return of its popular King Cake + Craft Beer pairing experience, back for two intimate sessions this Carnival season: Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. and Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. You can head to their website here to see more.

After selling out last year, the event returns with limited seating and a thoughtfully curated tasting format that begins with a savory pizza pairing before moving into four king cake and beer matches.

Guests kick things off with two NYC-style pizza tastings to set the palate, then move into the main event: four standout New Orleans king cakes paired with four beers brewed in-house.

Over about two hours, we walk through the full story of the king cake. From its European roots to how it became a cornerstone of Carnival, highlighting the bakeries and cultural moments that shaped it. You’ll leave full, buzzed, and actually knowing why king cake matters in New Orleans.

“This is an experience that connects food, beer, and tradition in a way that feels distinctly New Orleans,” said Doug Walner, Co-Owner of NOLA Brewing & Pizza Co.

“You leave with a deeper understanding of king cake, a better appreciation for thoughtful pairings, and a sense of how all these elements work together.”
