Welcome to another packed out weekend, New Orleans! We’ve officially crossed over in to fall, the Saints season is in full swing and we’re quickly gearing up for the Halloween madness.
This weekend, local funk rock group The Iceman Special will hold their highly anticipated Fete Du Void festival. The 9th annual Nola Horror Film Fest comes back to the Prytania, and the multimedia group Freewater is hosting their exclusive blockparty with big names like What So Not and RL Grime.
Having trouble deciding? No worries, so are we.

Mental Health and wellness form the cornerstone of Fête du VOID. We strive to provide an environment where everyone can dive into something that leaves them better off in the end—guided meditation, creativity workshops and talks, and yoga to name a few. Fête du VOID is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization for the first time and a portion of our proceeds will be given to the 232-HELP—a local mental health charity that is able to locate more than 1500 resources to help with health issues, rent and utility assistance, food, clothing, education, volunteer and donor opportunities.

Aqua Mob Returns for Season 3 of comic, aquatic, dystopian fun!
Diver dreams of a new home, safe with plenty of vegetables – and far from the oppressiveness of her home warren. To get there she will need the help of her friends to overcome the dangers that lie beyond her doorstep. Through song, and aquatic, aerial, and terrestrial dance, Watership Damn! explores the magic of hope in a dark world.

This is a beautiful outdoor venue in the Bywater, which will give us the opportunity to get our feet back in the dirt! Who Arted?! Look. Listen. Create.
INTRODUCING a brand new art & music series for the New Orleans community 😀
This series is made possible by three art features:
1. Visual artist(s)
2. Audio artist(s) aka comedians, musicians, spoken word, etc!
3. MAKING art!
While you are listening and observing the art of the featured artists, plus the fairyland majesty that is The Art Garage itself, you can visit the craft station :-O!
Create some up-cycle art using materials that would usually be thrown away, such as leftover Mardi Gras costume bits, those watercolors you never used, sequins, the recyclables NOLA no longer accepts, Trader Joe’s paper bags, ((I know you have too many too)), the list goes on! Each series will have a different prompt to guide your artistic muse.
SEPTEMBER 28th’s SHOW WILL FEATURE:
Look: Kara Heck
Listen: Lyce (musical comedy duo stylings of Liz DeVito & Danielle Ryce), Dianella – Band, and Ship of Fools!
Create: Craft prompt, Shipwrecked
September 28th // Doors @ 7pm // Music @ 8pm // $10 cover.
(((Please contact Danielle Ryce if you have any leftover crafting materials you are looking to rid of!!! Let’s minimize waste t
