Total Wine & More Opens First Louisiana Location In Metairie; See Details

The retail giant Total Wine & More has finally opened its first Louisiana location in Metairie. The new retail spot is taking over the Circuit City turned Best Buy at 3780 Veterans Blvd. in Metairie. We reported on this story as early as November 2019, but due to the ongoing COVID crisis in the state, the opening date was pushed back briefly to this summer. While this is the first location in Louisiana, the producers of Total Wine & More are looking to stay involved with regionally-based wholesalers and wine producers.

“At Total Wine & More, we look to partner with local and regionally-based producers and wholesalers to help build their brands,” says Ed Cooper, Total Wine’s vice president of public affairs and community relations. “Customers can look for Louisiana-based products on our displays and shelves by looking for the Louisiana state flag.”

If you are unfamiliar with the brand, the chain is a large retailer in the American market, with almost 200 stores nationwide. Total Wine & More normally carries over 8,000 wines, 3,000 types of spirits, and 2,500 beers. Along with its large selection, Total Wine has been a leader in educational seminars on the wine industry.

Total Wine was founded in Delaware in 1991. It has roughly 200 stores nationwide. See photos from the new Metairie store below.
