Happy weekend New Orleans! It’s time for another weekly roundup of all our favorite shows, festivals and general going-on around the greatest city in the world.
The annual Luna Fête festival of lights, technology, and art returns to the CBD, and the zoo gets an electric makeover with Audubon Zoo Lights.
Cher is coming to town this Saturday at the Smoothie King Center. 1788-L helps the Republic celebrate their 14th Anniversary, and Bear Grillz stops by the Howlin Wolf.
If you’re looking to get on the naughty list this year, the 12 Dives of Christmas bar crawl would be a fun place to start. But if you’d rather get some gift shopping done, there are plenty of local artists’ markets to check out.
Check out these & all our other picks from this weekend in New Orleans:

THE SUBJECT: An all-night dancing situation, gathering place, an oasis of sweat, grime, and positivity.
THE OBJECT: Hosted at Poor Boys Bar, the Bywater meeting point for any and every type of crowd.
Notorious for its debauchery and anything-goes freakiness, this spot is a well-kept secret and favorite of
New Orleans locals. Now with a newly renovated sound system, Poor Boys Bar can truly soundtrack your
all-night excursions.
THE MATTER: You – the freak, the geek, the hedonist, the lover, the robotic dancing machine, and yes –
even the reluctant homebody. There is a space for everyone here, because you matter.
Once a month, every month, SUBJECT MATTER will bring together THE SUBJECT, THE OBJECT, and THE
MATTER. We bring a reverence for the dance music culture of yesteryear and the consciousness of
today’s clubbers.
Hosted and curated by resident DJ @Tristan Dufrene
Guest DJs: Idalia (Debut Set) and Lleauna
SUBJECT MATTER celebrates individuality and free expression. We will strive to ensure that this is a
space where revelers can dance and socialize freely without worry or judgement.
