Friday Nights at NOMA presents: “Women Without Men” a screening of the movie from Iranian Filmmaker Shirin Neshat.
Offering lives music, children’s events, and movies, Friday Nights at NOMA is your place to be for art and culture entertainment. The screening for “Women Without Men” begins at 6:30pm. Running for an hour and thirty-nine, the film leaves plenty of time to peruse the galleries and visit Café NOMA, all of which is open until 9pm.
“Women Without Men” shows in conjunction with the current NOMA exhibit “Bodies of Knowledge”. The film covers the lives of four Iranian women navigating life during the American-backed coup of 1953. “Women Without Men” has received positives reviews for its powerful representation of the feminine resilience during and since this event occurred in Iran.
NOMA members get in for free, normal admission prices are maintained for visitors.
