Reported first by NOLA.com, Paulie Gee’s Crescent City Slice Shop has closed their downtown New Orleans location at 726 Julia Street.
The Brooklyn-style pizza opened in May 2021 amid the pandemic, and garnered a lot of traction in the area as a solid pizza spot in the Downtown area. Now, two years later, Paulie’s is closing due to lack of foot traffic in the area. A new location is out there for them somewhere in the city, but they are currently on the search for that spot.
Paulie Gee’s pizzeria is known for their traditional New York slices and whole pies, including square pies and slices.

Thanks for staying open through Mardi Gras Paulie’s, and for providing parade-goers with a late-night bite post-parade.
