Over 50 chefs and bartenders are coming together for ‘Just Cause: A Boozy Bake Sale’ to raise money for reproductive rights. The funds earned will go to benefit Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast & New Orleans Abortion Fund. On June 22, ticket holders can sample baked treats and libations raise money for facilities that allow women the right to choose.
Many of the participating chefs and bartenders are leaders in the New Orleans hospitality industry. To name a few: Bronwen Wyatt of Bacchanal, Kelly Fields of Willa Jean, Nina Compton of Compere Lapin, Kristen Essig of Coquette, Megan Forman of Gracious Bakery, Liz Hollinger and Jess Tiedman Stokes of Molly’s Rise and Shine, Mason Hereford of Turkey & The Wolf and many more!
Join this conglomerate of New Orleans’ culinary movers and shakers! At Magazine Merchant House on June 22 from 3 – 7 pm, supporters will have the opportunity to purchase treats & cocktails. 100% of proceeds will go to benefit Planned Parenthood and the New Orleans Abortion Fund. Tickets are $5 and the event is all-ages.
This event is in response to the recent laws enacted by Louisiana to make abortion less accessible.
