San Francisco-based electronic music producer Charlie Yin, better known by his stage name Giraffage, HAS LAUNCHED HIS NORTH AMERICAN “TOO REAL” TOUR.
The tour, which kicked off in Washington D.C. in late October, was organized to promote Giraffage’s new album of the same name.
The “Too Real” tour will see the producer take the stage at venues throughout North America, coming to a close on December 14 in Atlanta, Georgia.
He released his new album, Too Real, on October 20. It includes features from Japanese Breakfast, Matosic, Angelica Bess and Harrison Lipton.
The record is the producer’s third full-length effort, capitalizing on the attention he received following the release of his acclaimed 2013 album Needs.
Yin, who is of Taiwanese descent, graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with an economics degree. He then shifted his focus toward a career in music production. He has since collaborated with big names in the electronic music industry, including Porter Robinson and XXYYXX.
Too Real is Giraffage’s first album with Counter Records, a label he signed with in early 2017. Other notable artists on the label include ODESZA, RACÂ and The Heavy.
Fans of Giraffage’s music are likely drawn to his distinctly blissful synth-pop melodies, showcased frequently throughout his new album’s 34-minute run-time.
At his New Orleans show, he will be performing alongside producers Sweater Beats and Wingtip.
