Junior’s on Harrison, which will take the place of the recently closed Cava is set to open on November 11, 2019. The highly anticipated eatery by restauranters Nick Hufft and Lon Marchand, plans to offer “modern American fare and inventive cocktails.”
The duo already operates a handful of businesses including Curbside Burgers, The Overpass Merchant (Baton Rouge), and Gail’s Fine Ice Cream (a mobile creamery).
“We created Junior’s to be a casual contemporary restaurant that guests will want to return to again and again. The redesigned space is warm and welcoming; the menu is modern but never fussy; and our cocktails are progressive yet not over-complicated. We hope Junior’s will feel as good for a Saturday date-night dinner as it does for a family lunch or a lively Sunday brunch. We’re excited to welcome our first guests and be a part of the Lakeview community.”

The two-story restaurant will feature an upstairs bar with a traditional interior dining room downstairs. Launching the new restaurant is executive chef Jacob Cureton, a NOLA native with nearly two decades of culinary experience. Junior’s plans to serve lunch and dinner seven days a week, with brunch to follow.
Cureton and the Junior’s staff plan to offer snacks and starters, small plates, sandwiches, and main course meals. Expect to see cheese curds, blue crab + corn fritters, fish ceviche, gulf shrimp, lemongrass brussel sprouts, steak Frites, shrimp tacos, steam buns, burgers, and dozens of other new dishes.
Junior’s on Harrison is located at 789 Harrison Avenue in New Orleans’ Lakeview neighborhood. Doors open Monday, November 11, 2019. Lunch is from 11 AM – 3 pm and dinner from 3 PM – 10 PM daily.
