Per the city’s latest announcement and following Mayer Cantrell’s Friday press conference, Orleans Parish residents are now only to stay home except for essential needs. Essential needs include hospitals, grocery stores, and essential jobs (restaurants doing delivery/takeout, pharmacies, etc). This is in an effort to combat the extremely high rising coronavirus cases throughout the state of Louisiana, but especially Orleans parish.
Watch the live press conference below:
Update: @mayorcantrell is issuing a Stay Home Mandate requiring residents to stay home except for essential needs. Essential needs include accessing healthcare, getting supplies, or going to an essential job.
