The Rusty Nail just like hundreds of other bars in the city of New Orleans has been closed since the new COVID restrictions went in place last month.
And while we know you’ve missed out on their signature drink the Disco Lemonade since closing, we have a surprise for you. The Nail has officially launched its brand new outdoor patio Oyster bar, Sidecar.
If you’ve been a frequent visitor or even a part-time guest, you’ve seen the renovations The Rusty Nail has been working on for some time now. Sidecar is the newest bar and restaurant spot to the CBD and sits comfortably attached to The Rusty Nail’s famous outdoor patio spot. Opening for the first time last weekend, Sidecar announced their plans via Facebook, and plan to open Wednesday – Sunday nights from 5-11 pm.
“We are so proud to introduce you to Sidecar Patio & Oyster Bar! Sidecar is NOW OPEN FOR BUSINESS! Sidecar is everything you want right now: A fun, safe, outdoor environment to enjoy delicious food & cocktails. Sidecar is located next door to the Nail and shares its patio. 1114 Constance Street. We can’t wait for you to see it! PS…Sidecar has DISCO LEMONADE until The Nail is allowed to open back up!”
Sidecar offers a menu of fresh seafood and tropical-inspired cocktails. Opened by David Brown and the team behind The Rusty Nail and Cooter Brown’s, the menu is inspired by Louisiana’s patio and outdoor dining culture. Sidecar is committed to a high-quality menu that features lump crabmeat fries, custom blend burgers with bleu cheese, crispy leeks and more. The cocktail list focuses on fresh ingredients for their sub-tropical libations, like their signature Mai Tai.
