New Orleans Pride Festival Announces 2020 Cancellation

One of the most anticipated events of the summer in New Orleans has been cancelled due to COVID-19. New Orleans Pride gives people from all backgrounds of life the opportunity to have fun, craft some amazing costumes, and dive into the city’s culture but unfortunately, it will not happen in 2020.

In a statement, New Orleans Pride explained that their priority “is the health and safety of attendees.” They have been working closely with the CDC and the city of New Orleans to make a decision and monitor changes.

Unfortunately, based on the latest information, they cannot move further.

Based on the latest information, the New Orleans Pride Board of Directors has made the decision to cancel the Pride Festival set to take place in 2020. After many conversations with the Mayor’s office, the tough decision was made to cancel the 2020 event and look forward to June 11-13,2021.  All event tickets and vendor/ parade registration fees will be refunded.
