Despite the retail climate during the COVID-19 crisis, the Outlet Collection at the Riverwalk is growing with new stores and new construction.
We first reported that the Riverwalk was back in action with curbside pickup during June, but since that news, there have been some new developments at the city’s only outlet mall. This past Friday the Riverwalk welcomed a new Polo Ralph Lauren store. The 10,000 square foot store is the second Polo Ralph Lauren within Louisiana and the first within the New Orleans metro area.
Along with that new construction, the Riverwalk has broken ground on three new restaurants that plan to flank Spanish Plaza. Locally owned and operated Rizzuto’s Pizzeria and Copeland’s Wharfhouse will become new staples on the Riverfront later this year. Another restaurant, Rock N’ Roll Sushi, will be opening within the mall within the next month.
If you are planning to make a trip it’s worth noting that Louisiana residents can get free parking when they spend a minimum of $20 at any of the stores within The Outlet Collection at Riverwalk. The free parking is located in the “whale lot.”
