After Late Injury To Eli Apple, Saints to Work Out Former Rams Starter

5-0 without Drew Brees. What a headline. The Saints have rallied around Teddy Bridgewater and a stiffing defense over the past 5 weeks. But the news is not always the best. During the last drive of the game yesterday, starting cornerback Eli Apple went down with an apparent knee injury.

The Saints cornerback went down after slipping in the end zone on the Bears last touchdown. The play did not look so well, and now the Saints are preparing for Apple to miss several games.

Per Ian Rapoport, the Saints are working out corner Kayvon Webster. Webster started over 11 games for the Rams in the recent past and will bolster a Saints secondary who are now in need of another shutdown corner.

We will provide further updates on Apple’s injury as they become available
