New Orleans is a bass-heavy city, but it’s far from just a place for touring acts. Some of our favorite music comes from the homegrown artists of the swamp. One of our favorite artists, The Gentle Giant, just released his newest track “night life” today.
Under his stage name The Gentle Giant, Scott Brady spins trap and experimental bass music all throughout Southeast Louisiana.
Hailing from Mandeville, Brady has been producing since 2015 and says he takes musical inspiration from all genres. Originally a percussionist and a saxophone player throughout school, Brady took up DJing and producing near the end of high school. Being completely self-taught, he hosted a radio show at Southeastern Louisiana University where he honed his DJ skills.
His newest track, “night life” is a creeping blend of bass and trap. Clocking in at just under two minutes, it’s a quick diddy for those in need of an express dance session.
