Tales of the Cocktail is a fabulous weekend for bartenders to flex their skills, incredible parties and larger than life installations. Sure, the seminars are educational and a great way to catch a buzz, but the parties are even better.
Trying to stay away from the crowds? We’ve also included some more low-key events going on around the neighborhoods. As always, take care of each other and have a great weekend New Orleans!

Peach Mango Guava Gose
4.5% ABV | 13 IBUs
This mid-summer pick me up is brewed with North American Pale Malt, White Wheat, Coriander, and Sea Salt to give off a light and upfront tartness. We then added Peach, Mango, and Guava during fermentation to give you that refreshing tropical flavor perfect for the summer heat.
It ‘gose’ well with boiled shrimp too…

Event Details
Khris Royal & Dark Matter is a young alternative funk band steeped in jazz flavors on the forefront of the NOLA music scene. They have secured their spot among the immensely talented acts emerging from a revitalized New Orleans by headlining at local music meccas such as the Blue Nile on Frenchmen Street and the famed Maple Leaf Bar. The band is quickly building momentum on a national scale, with killer debut sets at both the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival (Jazz Tent) and Gulf Shore’s Hangout Festival. During Jazz Fest 2011, Khris Royal & Dark Matter had the honor of backing funk legends Doug Wimbish & Corey Glover (of Living Colour) as part of their side project, WIMBASH, and opening for the Funky Meters at Tipitina’s.

THE SUBJECT: An all-night dancing situation, gathering place, an oasis of sweat, grime, and positivity.
THE OBJECT: Hosted at Poor Boys Bar, the Bywater meeting point for any and every type of crowd.
Notorious for its debauchery and anything-goes freakiness, this spot is a well-kept secret and favorite of
New Orleans locals. Now with a newly renovated sound system, Poor Boys Bar can truly soundtrack your
all-night excursions.
THE MATTER: You – the freak, the geek, the hedonist, the lover, the robotic dancing machine, and yes –
even the reluctant homebody. There is a space for everyone here, because you matter.
Once a month, every month, SUBJECT MATTER will bring together THE SUBJECT, THE OBJECT, and THE
MATTER. We bring a reverence for the dance music culture of yesteryear and the consciousness of
today’s clubbers.
Hosted and curated by resident DJ @Tristan Dufrene
Guest DJs: @Nvture.Morte
SUBJECT MATTER celebrates individuality and free expression. We will strive to ensure that this is a
space where revelers can dance and socialize freely without worry or judgement.

What do you get when you mix Tim Burton with Emo Night in the New Orleans summertime? idk… Probably a cease & desist, but we shall see! Emo Night New Orleans is back this July with everyone’s favorite skeleton that you absolutely had plastered over everything you owned in high school. You did, didn’t you? Still think those Jack Skeleington slip-on vans were a good idea? Don’t worry. We do too. Hurricane Season & Hey Thanks! are going to be playing music that you also know the words to, because why else would you be here? Why am I still rambling on? You know the drill!
