Toups South Releases New Pre-Fixe Menus for Summer

Chef Isaac Toups of Toups South just released his affordably priced summer pre-fixe menu. This summer menu will run from June 1 – September 30. There are three price options to choose from 2 courses at lunch for $20, 3 courses at dinner for $35, or 3 courses at brunch for $35. (Dinner & brunch include a glass of wine/mimosa with your meal!)

Chef Isaac Toups and Chef de Cuisine Jason Lambert feature Southern flavors in their food with a contemporary take. On the summer pre-fixe menu, you’ll find delectable hits that are simple and fresh for the “hot as hell” weather.

For example, the lunch menu features options for a Chilled Corn and Coconut Soup or Snapper & Beet Crudo. For dinner, your entree selections are mussels & black-eyed peas with cornbread and candied jalapeno gremolata or seared snapper with saffron barre blanc, zucchini “pasta”. Brunch options include french toast or remoulade fried shrimp po’boy.

Yum! It all sounds delicious! Cool off and have a delicious meal without breaking the bank! Toups South is located inside of the Southern Food & Beverage Museum on Oretha Castle Haley Blvd. They open for lunch from 11 am – 3 pm, dinner served weekdays from 5 pm – 9 pm and close at 10 pm on weekends. Note: Toups South closes on Tuesdays.

Chef Isaac Toups is a two-time James Beard finalist. Also the author of the popular cookbook “Chasing the Gator”, a collection of anecdotes and recipes from his childhood growing up down in the bayou. Including how to roast an entire pig.
