Slow season in the city is finally coming to an end. The heat is mildly bearable, flocks of tourists are returning, and local clubs are pumping the gas on upcoming show calendars. Next Saturday – the 15th – the Metropolitan night club is hosting viral dance artists Tritonal.Â
The Texas based producers and songwriters are blowing up the streaming charts worldwide. With six Billboard Dance top ten singles, there’s no sign of slowing down for this duo. Over last year alone, they surpassed 53 million streams on Spotify. They’re currently in the streaming service’s top 400 streamed artists globally.
Chad Cisneros and Dave Reed got together behind the production booth over ten years ago. They began releasing deep house mixes and singles to various labels. Anjunabeats, Fraction Records and Spinnin Records all hosted tracks from the young artists. They came to settle on and eventually co-own Enhanced Music recording company with U.K. producer Will Holland.
Through the early 2000’s they kept a steady stream of remixes and releases. Their 2011 debut album Piercing Quiet featured a classic dance floor hit in the title track with additional remixes and radio edits. These early tracks have a more understated, trance feel to them than their electropop chart toppers from more recent years.
Fast forward four years and the guys are selling out iconic venues across the country with chart-topping hitmakers Cash Cash. Their 2015 Untouchable tour undoubtably exposed the duo to a plethora of new ears and fans.
Now they’re cranking out hot singles left and right. They worked with the Chainsmokers on their delicate single “Until You Were Gone” and even remixed a few Adam Lambert tunes.
Their latest album Painting with Dreams is heavy with stadium level hits. It’s definitely a more pop-centric songwriting style, but their production talent is unshaken. And their energetic live shows are still dazzling crowds across the world.
