Gearing up for its opening later this Summer, Virgin Hotels has shared a first look into Commons Club – the restaurant, bar, and lounge slated to open in coordination with the grand opening. Located at 550 Baronne Street, the Virgin Hotel will feature unique amenities all in the heart of New Orleans’ Central Business District.
The Commons Club is led by Executive Chef Alex Harrell, “the talented culinarian behind French Quarter gem, Angeline, and most-recently Elysian Bar.”
The menu for Commons Club will feature unique takes on Southern seasonal cuisine with a Mediterranean twist. From Grilled Okra with harissa to Bluefin Tuna Crudo with green tomatoes and tomato water, these elevated dishes will match the playful, yet sophisticated atmosphere at the Virgin Hotel.
And what’s a meal without a cocktail? Complimenting Harrell’s cuisine with be curated libations to fit every mood. Like the Dragon Smoke, pictured below, with Montelobos Mezcal Joven, Conzano 1757 Rosso, rosemary-infused Campari, orange bitters and a flamed orange swath.
Located within the Commons Club will be different themed rooms and dining spaces to live out your fantasies. Dine at a communal Chef’s Table surrounding the open kitchen at The Kitchen at Commons Club, or enjoy live New Orleans entertainment at The Bar at Commons Club.
