2020 is Here! Time to Ask the Real Questions: Who Makes Your Favorite King Cake?

The New Year has come and it’s time to celebrate a brand new decade. And whether you watched fireworks on the river, planned a fancy night out on the town, or worked the night away, we’re ready to welcome in a brand new year in the big easy.

As make our way into 2020, it’s time to start pre-planning our Mardi Gras season. I know what you are thinking when we say that, it’s still a solid month away, but guess what? King Cake season begins this MONDAY!

That’s right, Monday, January 6 is the official start. King cake is first served on King’s Day (January 6) and lasts through the eve of Mardi Gras to celebrate the coming of the three kings, as well as to honor them with a sweet homage to their jeweled crowns.

So with that being said as we stated in our title, Who Makes your favorite king cake?! Let us know on our Facebook page, on our Instagram below, or in the comment section on our website. Also, remember the King Cake Hub opens next week, and you can find 50 different variations from the top King Cake makers in the city.
