Join Bywater American Bistro as they wrap up their summer guest bartender series this Sunday, August 25. From 8pm-10pm, join the award-winning eatery with Tropic Like Its Hot. The Bistro welcomes Denzel Brown for an evening of creative tiki-inspired cocktails and conversation.
In an interview with Offbeat Magazine, Brown explained that he started bartending at Dat Dog on Magazine Street. From there, he got “really invested in cocktail culture […],” the history of spirits and liqueurs “piqued his interest.” Now, he currently showcases his talents at both Thalia and Longway Tavern.
If you’re a cocktail-conneisuer, you can enjoy Brown’s Lei Low – Manzanilla Sherry, PX, lime, Triple Sec and orgeat, garnished with a hibiscus flower and Ango; 1245 Punch – Clement Agricole, guava-chocolate mint-mustard seed cordial and lime, garnished with a chocolate mint leaf; and Au Revoir – Diplomatico Planas, Dolin Blank, Spiced Grenadine, orange bitters, Absinthe rinse and garnished with thyme oil.
Bywater American Bistro is located in the Rice Mill Lofts at 2900 Chartres Street in New Orleans’ Bywater neighborhood.
