It has just been announced that DeMarcus Cousins has left New Orleans Pelicans to play for the Golden State Warriors.
As a free agent, DeMarcus Cousins took a deal with the Warriors for $5.3 million for one season.
The power forward helped bring New Orleans Pelicans to the next level in the two seasons he was with the team. He played 48 games, and averaged 25.1 points per game.
It’s no wonder the two time NBA champions would pick up such an all star player. But where does that leave other teams?
Fans are speculating that this trade will make the Golden State Warriors an even more unstoppable force, and are calling for a level playing field.
Pelicans fans are particularly outraged over this news. “Boogie” Cousins was a huge force in the Pelicans success the last few seasons.
