New Orleans Music

G Jones, Sayer & sfam Tease Fans with New Music at Republic NOLA [Review]

Saturday night, Republic New Orleans got a taste of bass with G Jones stopping by with support from Sayer and sfam. If you were in the mood for some head banging and heavy basslines, this was the show for you.

It was no surprise that local duo sfam was chosen to be one of the openers for the night. They played right before Sayer who provided direct support for G Jones. sfam came out swinging and laid down an impressive performance. This duo seems to get better every time they hit the stage. Sayer’s performance was heavy enough to get the people excited for what they had coming to them.

The performance that G Jones provided for republic Saturday night was invigorating. The producer came out excited and informed the crowd he had some unreleased music to play for everyone. The energy of the crowd and the new music that everyone was hearing was overbearing at times but in such a wonderful way. The crowd moving as one entity to the heavy sound of this trendsetting artist’s “experiments” was quite the sight to see. Jones also played some collaborating tracks with artists like Bleep Bloop and EPROM, who will both be in NOLA this weekend for Halloween.

Bleep Bloop will be performing at Hell’s Gala at Mardi Gras World this Saturday.

EPROM will be playing at the Dragon’s Den for a Voodoo Fest after party.
