What’s the 2020 solution to traditional photos with Santa at Christmastime? JAMNOLA has the answer. This year, their holiday extravaganza will include a real-life Santa Claus inside a life-sized snow globe.
With COVID-19 still lingering, the traditional joys of the holiday season seemed uncertain. For families looking for the picture-perfect event this holiday season, the team at JAMNOLA is rolling out the red carpets for the full experience. Their team has announced a new holiday
additions to their 12-room exhibition through January 3.
Visitors will experience over-the-top holiday décor, including “Safe Santa & Friends,” a
real-life Santa Claus, or holiday elf, photo-ready, inside a life-size snow globe.
But that’s not all, other holiday additions for JAMNOLA include WinterJAM: immersive winter-wonderland themed decorations, a Winter Feather Forest, and a Spirit Tree Room.
JAMNOLA is New Orleans’ first experimental pop-up that takes audiences of all ages on a topsy-turvy stroll through some of the cultures that make our city so special. The immersive 12 room exhibit is 5,400 square feet of pure NOLA joy, celebrating the iconic art, music, food, and theatrics of the city, through the eyes of 20+ local artists.
As usual with JAMNOLA, the heart and culture of the city courses through every exhibit. In a tribute to the passing of Fred Parker – or “7th Ward Santa – earlier this year, a “Who Dot?” immersion will showcase years of photos with the 7th Ward Santa. You can also join some of the members of Krewe of Krampus as they roll in on a parade float with a themed Costume Closet in tow.
And all the while in the background, enjoy the holiday playlist curated by legendary local musician George Porter Jr. of The Meters.
Though it’s been a tough year for all of us – don’t let COVID kill the Christmas spirit!
Santa or one of his many elves will be at JAMNOLA Wed. – Fri. each week in December. Guests wanting a picture are encouraged to check their schedule before booking tickets.
