Soulful, bluesy and gritty: Jenn Howard is paving the way for a monumental year alongside her band’s three other members. The New Orleans-born and raised singer/songwriter is a staple in the Big Easy, playing at venues around the city including The Rusty Nail, Maple Leaf, Virgin Hotels New Orleans and more.
14 years ago, Jenn Howard released her debut album Up at Night. Drawing inspiration from New Orleans’ brass and funk heritage combined with her own powerful vocals, Up All Night set the stage for the next step in her career. Now, newly inspired and ready for what’s to come, Howard is gearing up for the release of her sophomore album, titled Valiant Women, out next month (March 2023).
In anticipation of the release, Howard has shared a single from the album: a collaboration feature with multi-instrumentalist/singer/songwriter Ivan Neville titled “Microphone.” Give it a listen below.
βThis body of work showcases what it was like for me to be a woman searching to discover myself again after losing footing in my hopes and dreams.β – Jenn Howard
