As we continue to navigate our way through phase two of the COVID-19 restrictions, more and more restaurants are starting to close their doors due to positive tests. This has been the case for a handful of restaurants throughout our city, including the huge news of K-Paul’s closing permanently.
But today, we are not covering another closure, but rather the re-opening of one of the CBD’s hotspots, Meril. Meris is world-renowned chef Emeril Lagasse’s newest New Orleans restaurant and has been one of our favorite spots since it opened in September 2016.
Meril is Lagasse’s fourth New Orleans restaurant, joining Emeril’s, his flagship; NOLA; and Emeril’s Delmonico. The restaurant is known for its flatbread pizza and its array of small plates.
During June the Meril team finally let customers know they were excited to open soon. Ultimately letting guests know they would continue to “monitor and analyze the situation as closely as possible.”
And just one month later, Meril was finally able to announce an official opening date for Wednesday, July 15. Guests can dine-in service and order take out Wednesday – Sunday from 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm. Meril is strongly recommending that guests reserve a spot at their restaurant to ensure service. You can visit their site here, and reserve your table.
