Otra Vez opened their doors on Julia Street on April 15. Chef Akhtar Nawab brought his take on Mexican food from Brooklyn all the way down to the Big Easy. The menu includes delicious classics such as queso fundido with plantain chips, crispy tempura shrimp tacos, crawfish chili relleno, and lots more. Check out the menu below.
According to their website, they are only open for dinner at the moment, but lunch and brunch is on the way. Otra Vez is open M-T from 5-11pm, Friday and Saturday from 5pm to midnight, and Sunday from 5pm-10:30pm.

Akhtar Nawab is the chef and owner of many restaurants between New Orleans, Brooklyn, and Omaha, along with a food hall management company. Nawab embraces his 25 years of experience by utilizing a “less is more” style. He’s received praise from The New York Times, Food Network, and various other publications. The Indian-heritage chef “connects the layered, complex cooking and ingredients of Mexico with the Indian food he grew up eating.”
